Nagata Shrine, Linked to Tottori Castle, Launches Crowdfunding Campaign for Shrine Repair
鳥取市に鎮座する長田神社が、移転遷座100年の節目を迎えるにあたり、本殿をはじめとする社殿群の修繕に向けたクラウドファンディングを実施している。目標金額は100万円で、修繕工事は令和7年6月の着工を予定。神社では、鳥取に縁ある人々をはじめ、文化財保護に関心を持つ広範な層に支援を呼びかけている。
Nagata Shrine in Tottori City, marking the 100th anniversary of its relocation, is conducting a crowdfunding campaign to fund restoration of its shrine buildings, including the main hall. The goal is set at one million yen, with construction scheduled to begin in June 2025. The shrine is appealing to those with ties to Tottori and individuals concerned with cultural heritage preservation.
長田神社は、天文14年（1545）に山名誠通が久松山に築城した際、城内に祀られたことに始まる。以降、吉川、宮部、池田など歴代の鳥取城主から産土神として崇敬されてきた。現在の社地には大正13年（1924）に移転遷座されており、社殿は元文6年（1741）に建立されたもので、国登録有形文化財にも指定されている。
Nagata Shrine originated in 1545, when it was enshrined within Tottori Castle by feudal lord Yamanaka Nobumichi. It has since been revered as the tutelary deity of successive lords of the castle, including the Yoshikawa, Miyabe, and Ikeda clans. The shrine was relocated to its current site in 1924, and its structures, originally built in 1741, are now designated as Registered Tangible Cultural Properties.
社殿は長年の風雪により各所で傷みが進んでおり、放置すればさらに深刻な損傷につながる恐れがある。今回の修繕では、文化財としての価値を損なうことなく、未来へその姿を受け継ぐことを目指している。
The shrine buildings have suffered damage from decades of exposure to wind, rain, and snow. Without repair, further deterioration is expected. The restoration aims to preserve the buildings’ cultural value while ensuring they are passed down to future generations.
クラウドファンディングの支援者には、芳名板への名前の掲出や、記念の御神札・御朱印、地元老舗菓子舗「亀甲や」の銘菓などの返礼品が用意されている。また、令和7年11月には修繕完了と奉祝を兼ねた移転遷座100年記念祭の斎行も予定されている。
Supporters of the crowdfunding campaign will receive return gifts such as their names inscribed on a donor plaque, commemorative talismans and goshuin stamps, and traditional sweets from the long-established confectionery shop “Kikkōya.” A commemorative ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the relocation will also be held in November 2025.
鳥取の歴史文化を象徴する神社の建築を後世に伝えるための今回の取り組みは、地域の記憶と誇りを守る活動として注目されている。支援募集は終了日まで公式クラウドファンディングページを通じて受け付けている。
This effort to preserve the architecture of a shrine symbolic of Tottori’s historical culture has drawn attention as a movement to safeguard local memory and pride. Donations will be accepted through the official crowdfunding site until the campaign concludes.
