天王寺楽所雅亮会、北米公演に向けクラウドファンディング開始──2008年以来の海外舞楽披露へ

Tennoji Gagaku Ensemble Launches Crowdfunding for North American Tour—First Overseas Performance Since 2008

日本の雅楽舞楽の伝統を伝える一般社団法人雅亮会（天王寺楽所雅亮会、理事長：小野真龍）は、2025年秋に予定されるカナダ・アメリカでの海外公演実現に向けて、クラウドファンディングによる資金調達を開始した。資金は、装束・楽器の輸送費や保険料に充てられる予定で、支援受付はクラウドファンディングサイト「CAMPFIRE」にて6月25日まで行われている。目標額は100万円。

The Tennoji Gagaku Ensemble, led by General Director Shinryu Ono and organized under the General Incorporated Association Garyokai, has launched a crowdfunding campaign to support an upcoming overseas tour in fall 2025. The campaign, hosted on the platform CAMPFIRE, aims to raise ¥1,000,000 by June 25, specifically to cover the transport and insurance costs of traditional musical instruments and stage costumes.

今回の海外公演は、カナダ・トロント大学およびアメリカ・カリフォルニア大学からの招聘を受けて実現するもので、天王寺舞楽のレクチャーやデモンストレーション、公演などが予定されている。すでに文化庁文化芸術振興基金から約719万円の助成が内定しているが、助成の対象外となっている装束・楽器の航空輸送費が資金面での大きな課題となっていた。

This international tour was initiated by invitations from the University of Toronto in Canada and the University of California in the United States. Although a grant of ¥7.19 million has been approved by Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs, it is limited to covering travel and accommodation expenses for the performers. The transportation of large and delicate instruments such as taiko drums and biwa lutes remains a significant financial hurdle.

特に太鼓や琵琶などの大型・高価な楽器の運搬には、頑丈なケースや保険が必要であり、空輸費用が高額になるという。これに対応するために、今回のクラウドファンディングが立ち上げられた。支援者には、大阪フェスティバルホールでの雅楽公演チケットや、四天王寺の鼉太鼓（だだいこ）をデザインしたアクリルキーホルダーなどのリターンが用意されている。

To address this challenge, the ensemble turned to crowdfunding. Donors will receive rewards such as tickets to the upcoming Gagaku concert at Osaka Festival Hall in November and acrylic keychains featuring the Taiko drum from Shitenno-ji Temple.

理事長の小野真龍氏は、「雅楽の伝統の多様性を北米の研究者や学生に伝えたいという招待側の強い想いに応えるには、現地で最良の演奏環境を整えることが不可欠です。どうか皆さまのご支援を賜りたい」と語っている。

General Director Shinryu Ono commented, “This is an invaluable opportunity to introduce the Tennoji style of Bugaku, a richly Buddhist-influenced tradition, to international audiences and scholars. We hope to present our best performance abroad, and your support will make that possible.”

北米での雅楽研究の中心地である両大学での本格公演が実現すれば、天王寺舞楽の魅力が国際的に広がる契機となることが期待されている。
