Seasonal Goshuin Offered at Ikuta Shrine: May-Only Designs Celebrate Early Summer in Kobe
兵庫県神戸市の生田神社で、2025年5月1日から31日まで、季節限定の御朱印6種が授与されている。いずれも初夏を彩る意匠で、一部は切り絵や特殊加工を用いた特別仕様となっている。
Ikuta Shrine in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, is offering six seasonal goshuin (shrine seal stamps) from May 1 to 31, 2025. Each features early summer motifs, with some crafted using intricate techniques such as paper-cutting and etching.
代表的なものとして、七宝文様とクローバー、兜の意匠で「一期一会」の精神を表現した切り絵御朱印「一期一会」や、藤の花をハーフカットで表現した「初夏詣」がある。いずれも初穂料1,000円で、なくなり次第終了。
Notable designs include “Ichigo Ichie,” a cut-paper seal decorated with cloisonné patterns, clovers, and kabuto helmets to evoke the spirit of treasuring encounters, and “Shoka Mode,” which uses half-cut techniques to depict wisteria flowers—a symbol of longevity and prosperity.
そのほか、紫陽花と若葉をモチーフにした「瑞雨」、神戸の街に若葉の光を重ねた「紫翠」、鯉や麻の葉柄を配した「さつき」、八重桜と干支を配した「春詣」など、5月限定ならではの趣向を凝らした御朱印が揃う。
Other seals include “Zui’u,” featuring hydrangeas and new foliage; “Shisui,” expressing the greenery of Kobe in fresh spring light; “Satsuki,” adorned with koi, clover, and traditional hemp-leaf patterns; and “Haru Mode,” which incorporates cherry blossoms and the year’s zodiac animal.
生田神社は「縁結びのいくたさん」として親しまれ、創建は神功皇后摂政元年（西暦201年）と伝わる古社。恋愛成就、安産、商売繁盛、家内安全などの御利益で知られる神戸の守り神である。
Known affectionately as “Ikuta-san,” Ikuta Shrine is one of Japan’s oldest, believed to have been founded in 201 CE. It is widely venerated for blessings in love, safe childbirth, business prosperity, and household safety.
