Official Film Released for Daiju-ji Digital Art Night 2025 at the Tokugawa Family Temple
松平家・徳川将軍家の菩提寺として知られる大樹寺（愛知県岡崎市）で、1月に開催されたデジタルアートイベント「成道山大樹寺 デジタルアートナイト2025」の公式記録映像がこのたび公開された。
Daiju-ji Temple in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture—known as the family temple of the Matsudaira clan and the Tokugawa shoguns—served as the venue for “Daiju-ji Digital Art Night 2025,” held this January. Its official event film has now been released.
映像には、国・県指定の文化財をモチーフにしたプロジェクションマッピングが山門に投影される様子が映し出されている。冷泉為恭筆・大方丈障壁画や、非公開の杉戸絵などが高精細デジタルデータで再現され、光と音で寺の記憶が語り直されていく。
The film features projection mapping on the temple’s historic gate using digital imagery based on artifacts such as screen paintings by Reizei Tamechika and sugito-e panels that had long remained out of public view. The interplay of light and sound quietly evokes the history engraved within the temple.
境内では、重要文化財の多宝塔をはじめとした建築群が幻想的にライトアップされ、灯火による献灯や地元の食文化を紹介する屋台なども設けられた。
Within the grounds, the Important Cultural Property pagoda and other structures were illuminated. Lantern offerings and local food vendors further enriched the multisensory experience.
本イベントは、文化庁の補助事業として岡崎市ナイトタイムエコノミー推進協議会の主催で実施され、映像はその成果を可視化する記録として、現在YouTube上で公開されている。
Organized by Okazaki’s Nighttime Economy Promotion Council and supported by Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs, the event is now documented in a film that highlights how sacred architecture can resonate anew in contemporary contexts.
