Applications Open for “Hikikomori Henro 2025” — A 62-Day Pilgrimage Across Shikoku in Search of a Personal Way of Life
四国八十八ヶ所をめぐる巡礼の旅「ひきこもり遍路2025」の参加者募集が始まった。主催は、ひきこもり支援に30年以上取り組む認定NPO法人ニュースタート事務局。
Applications are now open for Hikikomori Henro 2025, a 1,200-kilometer pilgrimage across the 88 temples of Shikoku. The initiative is organized by New Start, a certified NPO with over 30 years of experience supporting socially withdrawn youth.
参加対象は18〜45歳で、不登校や失業などにより目的を見失った人を対象としている。旅を通じて、四国の自然や人との出会いのなかで「自分なりの生き方」を見つけることを目的とする。
Open to individuals aged 18 to 45, the program is designed for those who have become disconnected from work, education, or society. Through nature, temple visits, and human connection, participants seek to rediscover their own path.
ツアーは2025年9月から11月までの62日間。区切り打ち参加も可能で、参加費は45万円。巡礼が困難な人に代わって参拝を行う「代理参拝」制度も用意されている。
The full journey spans 62 days from late September to late November 2025. Partial participation is available, and the standard cost is ¥450,000. A proxy pilgrimage option is also offered for those unable to participate directly.
6月には対面とオンラインによる説明会も実施予定。事前サポートや保護者のみの参加も可能で、ひきこもり当事者への配慮がなされている。
Information sessions will be held in June, both in person and online. The organizers welcome inquiries from participants or their families and offer pre-trip support when needed.
また、2024年の様子を追った密着番組が5月10日夜にNHK Eテレで放映される予定。
A documentary covering the 2024 program will air on NHK Educational TV on the evening of May 10.
