株式会社ナツメ社（東京都千代田区）は、仏像に関心を持つ読者に向けた入門書『お参りしたくなる！ 仏さまと仏像の教科書』を2025年5月19日に発売した。著者は宗教史研究家の渋谷申博氏。
Tokyo-based publisher Natsume Co., Ltd. released a new beginner-friendly book titled A Guide to Buddhist Deities and Statues That Will Make You Want to Visit Temples on May 19, 2025. The author is religious historian Nobuhiro Shibuya.
本書は、仏像に表された如来・菩薩・明王・天部といった仏さまの“位”の違いや由来、形や持ち物の意味などをオールカラーのイラストとともに解説。仏さまの姿かたちや物語を知ることで、参拝や仏像鑑賞がより深く味わえる内容となっている。
The book explains the different ranks and characteristics of Buddhist deities—such as Nyorai, Bosatsu, Myōō, and Tenbu—through vivid full-color illustrations. By learning the meaning behind their appearances and attributes, readers can enhance their appreciation of Buddhist statues and deepen their temple visits.
