Five Temples Selected in Jalan’s “Best Hydrangea Spots” Ranking
雲昌寺【秋田県】
リクルートが運営する旅行情報サイト『じゃらんニュース』が「あじさい絶景スポット」の調査結果を発表した。全国各地から梅雨を彩る名所が選ばれ、そのうち寺社関連が5件ランクインした。
Jalan News, operated by Recruit, has announced the results of its survey on Japan’s most beautiful hydrangea-viewing spots during the rainy season. Among the selections nationwide, five temples and shrines were included in the rankings.
3位には秋田県男鹿市の雲昌寺が選ばれた。青色のあじさい約2,000株が境内を埋め尽くし、境内一面を青一色に染める景観が「あじさい寺」として知られている。

Third place went to Unshoji Temple in Oga City, Akita Prefecture. Known as “Hydrangea Temple,” the grounds are completely covered by about 2,000 blue hydrangea plants, creating a stunning blue landscape.
4位は鎌倉市の長谷寺がランクイン。奈良時代からの古刹で、約40種2,500株のあじさいが境内を彩る鎌倉を代表する花の名所である。

Fourth-ranked Hasedera Temple in Kamakura is an ancient temple dating back to the Nara period. It is renowned for around 2,500 hydrangeas of approximately 40 varieties that adorn its precincts.

5位は大阪府池田市の久安寺が選ばれた。参道や境内の池に浮かぶ色鮮やかなあじさいが特に有名で、梅雨時の人気スポットとなっている。

Fifth place was Kyuanji Temple in Ikeda City, Osaka. It is particularly famous for its vividly colored hydrangeas lining the temple paths and floating elegantly on the temple pond, attracting many visitors during the rainy season.

6位には京都府福知山市の丹州華観音寺が入った。丹波地方を代表する「あじさい寺」として、約100種1万株が咲き誇り、花浄土のような光景を楽しめる。

Sixth-ranked Tanshu Kannonji Temple in Fukuchiyama City, Kyoto Prefecture, is known as the “Hydrangea Temple of Tamba.” Visitors can enjoy around 10,000 hydrangeas across approximately 100 varieties, creating scenery reminiscent of a floral paradise.
丹州 華觀音寺【京都府】
8位は京都府宇治市の三室戸寺が選ばれた。京都を代表する「あじさい寺」の一つで、約50種2万株もの色鮮やかなあじさいが境内の斜面を美しく彩っている。

Eighth place was Mimurotoji Temple in Uji City, Kyoto Prefecture. This temple, one of Kyoto’s best-known “Hydrangea Temples,” boasts around 20,000 vibrantly colored hydrangeas from about 50 varieties, beautifully covering the slopes of its grounds.
三室戸寺【京都府】
なお、ランキングの1位は神奈川県の箱根登山電車「あじさい電車」、2位には岩手県の「みちのくあじさい園」が選ばれた。
The top spot in the ranking was Hakone Tozan Railway’s “Hydrangea Train” in Kanagawa Prefecture, followed by Michinoku Hydrangea Garden in Iwate Prefecture.
