Special Autumn Opening of Daitoku-ji Sub-temples in Kyoto Announced for 2025

株式会社京都春秋は2025年秋季における京都の禅宗寺院、大徳寺内の塔頭寺院の特別公開情報を発表した。公開されるのは、黄梅院、興臨院、総見院の三寺院で、通常非公開の重要文化財や庭園などを拝観できる。
Kyoto Shunju Co., Ltd. has announced details of the special autumn opening in 2025 of sub-temples within Daitoku-ji, a renowned Zen temple in Kyoto. The temples Obai-in, Korin-in, and Soken-in will showcase their usually closed-off Important Cultural Properties and gardens.
大徳寺は織田信長や豊臣秀吉ら戦国大名とのゆかりが深く、茶聖・千利休や狩野永徳をはじめとする歴史上の重要人物とも関係する文化の中心地であった。
Daitoku-ji Temple has deep historical ties to feudal lords such as Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and served as a cultural hub associated with historical figures including tea master Sen no Rikyu and painter Kano Eitoku.
黄梅院（公開期間：10月3日～12月7日）では、織田信長が創建し、豊臣秀吉が増築。千利休が66歳で作庭したと伝わる「直中庭」、重要文化財の庫裡、雲谷等顔の障壁画（複製）などが公開される。
Obai-in Temple (October 3 – December 7), originally founded by Oda Nobunaga and expanded by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, will feature “Jikichutei,” a garden created by Sen no Rikyu at age 66, an Important Cultural Property Kuri (temple kitchen), and reproductions of sliding door paintings by Unkoku Togan.
興臨院（公開期間：9月6日～21日、9月27日〜12月15日）は、室町期の禅宗建築を伝える本堂と唐門が重要文化財として公開。作庭家・中根金作が復元した方丈庭園も鑑賞できる。
Korin-in Temple (September 6 – 21, September 27– December 15) will open its Important Cultural Property main hall and Chinese-style gate, representing Zen architecture from the Muromachi period, along with its Hojo Garden restored by renowned garden designer Kinsaku Nakane.
総見院（公開期間：10月11日～11月30日）は、織田信長の菩提を弔うため秀吉が建立した寺院で、重要文化財の木造織田信長坐像や信長一族の墓碑が公開される。
Soken-in Temple (October 11 – November 30), established by Hideyoshi in memory of Oda Nobunaga, will display the Important Cultural Property wooden seated statue of Nobunaga and gravestones of the Nobunaga family.
秋の京都で歴史的文化財を身近に感じる絶好の機会となる。
