Sakakimori Hakusansha Shrine in Nagoya Launches Crowdfunding to Preserve its Thousand-Year Heritage
名古屋市中区の榊森白山社（さかきもり・はくさんしゃ）修繕プロジェクト実行委員会は、創建から千年以上の歴史を有する榊森白山社の社殿や施設の修繕費用を募るため、2025年5月15日よりクラウドファンディングを開始した。
The Sakakimori Hakusansha Shrine Renovation Project Committee in Naka-ku, Nagoya City, started crowdfunding on May 15, 2025, to raise funds for restoring the shrine’s buildings and facilities, which boast a history spanning over a thousand years.
榊森白山社は平安時代の886年創建と伝えられ、菊理媛命（くくりひめのみこと）、伊邪那岐命（いざなぎのみこと）、大己貴神（おおなむちのかみ）を主祭神として祀る歴史的な神社だ。特に境内にある摂末社「華能宮（かのうぐう）」は、「世界唯一の縁結びの神様」として参拝者の信仰を集めている。
Founded in 886 during the Heian period, Sakakimori Hakusansha Shrine enshrines Kukurihime-no-Mikoto, Izanagi-no-Mikoto, and Omunamuchi-no-Kami. Its subsidiary shrine, Kanou-gu, uniquely revered as the “world’s only deity dedicated to matchmaking,” attracts numerous visitors.
戦災により一度失われた社殿は昭和38年に再建されたものの、年月の経過によって老朽化が著しく進んでおり、修繕が急務となっている。今回のプロジェクトでは、歴史的価値の保護と地域コミュニティの再生を目的としている。
Although rebuilt in 1963 after being destroyed during wartime, the shrine buildings have significantly deteriorated over the years, necessitating urgent repairs. This project aims to protect the shrine’s historical value and rejuvenate the local community.
クラウドファンディングの支援者には、感謝のメールや御朱印帳の提供、修繕後の社殿への名前掲示、特別参拝イベントへの招待などがリターンとして用意されている。
Supporters of the crowdfunding campaign will receive rewards such as thank-you emails, original shrine stamp books (goshuin-cho), name inscriptions at the renovated shrine, and invitations to special shrine events.
