世界最古の木造建築群を有する世界遺産・法隆寺（奈良県斑鳩町）の参道に位置する体験型宿泊施設「門前宿 和空法隆寺」が、この夏限定の宿泊プランを企画した。単なる寺社巡りを超え、歴史の謎を解き明かす冒険に参加できるユニークな体験型プランだ。
Located just steps from the UNESCO-listed Horyuji Temple—home to the world’s oldest wooden buildings—Monzen-juku Waqoo Horyuji introduces an exclusive summer accommodation plan. Guests can go beyond ordinary temple visits, embarking instead on an engaging adventure that unravels historical mysteries.
法隆寺は聖徳太子の建立と伝えられ、1400年近くも数多くの謎に包まれてきた。今回のプランでは、その謎を法隆寺に精通した「語り部」たちが独自に問題化。宿泊者は知識とひらめきをフルに活用し、寺の境内や宿泊施設の中を巡りながら、合計12問の謎に挑む趣向だ。
Horyuji Temple, attributed to Prince Shotoku, has preserved intriguing mysteries for nearly 1,400 years. This plan features original riddles crafted by knowledgeable local “storytellers” (Kataribe). Guests will draw upon their intellect and intuition, navigating through the temple grounds and inn facilities to tackle twelve fascinating challenges.
謎解きはスマートフォンを活用したデジタル形式のため、参加者は手ぶらで気軽に楽しめる。館内や境内の各所に隠されたヒントを見つけながら進み、見事すべての謎を解き明かせば、ここでしか手に入らない特別な記念品が贈られる趣向も嬉しい。
Participants can easily join the digital mystery-solving journey using their smartphones—no special materials required. As they discover clues hidden throughout the temple and inn, successful puzzle-solvers receive a special commemorative item available nowhere else.
このプランの魅力は謎解きにとどまらない。夕食には夏の味覚である旬の鱧（はも）を使った料理人自慢の特別コースを味わえるほか、翌朝には大和野菜など地元食材を活かした料理長こだわりの和朝食が提供されるなど、食の体験も充実している。
Yet, the appeal of this stay extends beyond puzzles. Guests savor a chef-crafted dinner featuring Nara’s prized summer delicacy, “hamo” (pike conger), complemented by an exquisite Japanese breakfast highlighting locally sourced vegetables, further enhancing the cultural immersion.
