Shrines and Temples Included in Jalan’s Summer World Heritage Ranking
旅行情報サイト『じゃらんニュース』（リクルート運営）が、「夏に訪れたい世界遺産」に関する調査結果を発表した。涼しさや自然体験を楽しめるスポットが多く挙げられたが、日本各地の神社仏閣もいくつかランクインしている。
The travel site Jalan News, operated by Recruit, has released a survey ranking World Heritage Sites people would like to visit in summer. While many selections were nature-oriented and sought for their cool climate, several shrines and temples across Japan also made the list.
その一つである厳島神社（広島県）は第7位にランクイン。海上に浮かぶような社殿で知られ、夏はライトアップやナイトクルーズが人気を集める。
Itsukushima Shrine in Hiroshima, famed for its floating appearance over the sea, becomes especially atmospheric in summer with illuminations and night cruises.

第10位の平泉（岩手県）は、仏教の浄土思想を表現した中尊寺・毛越寺などの寺院群が世界遺産として登録されている。
Hiraizumi in Iwate Prefecture features temples like Chūson-ji and Mōtsū-ji that embody Pure Land Buddhism and are part of its World Heritage designation.

また、信仰と芸術の象徴である富士山（山梨・静岡）も第6位にランクイン。周辺には浅間神社などの信仰遺産が点在し、登山や参拝を兼ねた夏の訪問先として選ばれている。
Mount Fuji (Yamanashi/Shizuoka), a symbol of faith and art, also ranked high. Its surrounding shrines such as Sengen Shrine attract summer visitors combining pilgrimage and recreation.
夏に訪れたい世界遺産として、信仰と文化を体感できる寺社は、歴史的価値に加え、涼やかで印象深い旅先としても選ばれている。
As summer destinations, shrines and temples offer not only historical and spiritual depth but also a serene and memorable travel experience, earning them spots on the seasonal World Heritage ranking.
