May 5 “Kumano Children’s Festival” at Tateishi and Kumano Shrine, which is auspicious for 5

東京都葛飾区立石の五方山熊野神社で、こどもの日に合わせた地域行事「くまのこどもまつり」が5月5日に開催される。熊野神社と隣接する熊野幼稚園を会場に、子ども向けの体験やステージパフォーマンスに加え、「5」に縁起を持つ同社ならではの特別祈祷も行われる。
Kumano Children’s Festival, a community event to mark Children’s Day, will be held on May 5 at Gohouzan Kumano Shrine in Tateishi, Katsushika-ku, Tokyo. The Kumano Children’s Festival will be held at Kumano Shrine and the adjacent Kumano Kindergarten. In addition to hands-on activities and stage performances for children, a special prayer service will be held as only the company can, since the number “5” is associated with children.
「くまのこどもまつり」は、2023年に初めて開催され、今年で3回目を迎える。会場となる熊野幼稚園の園庭では、ジャグリングやバルーンアート、ポニー試乗会などが行われ、ロボット製作や似顔絵、占いといった企画も並ぶ。園内に設けられた熊野富士、日本庭園などもこの日に限り特別開放される。
The Kumano Children’s Festival was first held in 2023 and will be held for the third time this year. At the Kumano Kindergarten yard, where the festival will be held, juggling, balloon art, pony test rides, and other events will be held, along with robot making, portrait drawing, and fortune telling. The Kumano Fuji and Japanese garden in the school will also be open to the public for this special day only.
神社本殿では、「熊野大神」「安倍晴明」「太陽」「月」「人」との五つの縁を結ぶことを願う特別祈祷が、午前5時55分55秒に斎行される。初穂料は5,000円。境内では端午の節句にちなんだ軒菖蒲の飾りつけも施される。

五方山熊野神社は、長保年間（999〜1003年）に陰陽師・安倍晴明が紀州熊野から勧請したと伝わる古社で、正五角形の敷地に構える独特の結界構造を持つ。陰陽五行思想と深い関係を持ち、「5」にまつわる行事を毎年展開している。
Gohouzan Kumano Shrine is an ancient shrine that is said to have been invited from Kumano in Kishu by the Yin-Yang master Abe no Seimei during the Chouho period (999-1003), and has a unique boundary structure on a regular pentagonal site. The shrine has a deep relationship with the five elements of Yin-Yang, and holds annual events related to the number 5.
自然豊かな境内では馬や鳥も飼育され、地域の子どもたちや家族が自然や信仰と触れ合える場として親しまれている。
Horses and birds are kept in the grounds, which are rich in nature, and the shrine is a popular place for local children and families to come into contact with nature and faith.
