■Ishikiri-tsurugi Shrine’s halls registered as tangible cultural properties The first traditional religious facilities in Higashi-Osaka City
大阪府東大阪市の石切劔箭神社で、本殿・拝殿および幣殿・透塀・絵馬殿の計4件が、文化庁の国登録有形文化財（建造物）に登録された。伝統宗教施設としては東大阪市内で初の登録となる。
Four buildings at the Ishikiri-tsurugiya Shrine in Higashi-Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, including the main hall, worship hall, hall of offerings, open wall and emaden, have been registered as tangible cultural properties (buildings) by the Agency for Cultural Affairs. This is the first registration for a traditional religious facility in Higashiosaka City.
石切劔箭神社は「石切さん」の名で親しまれ、「でんぼ（腫れ物）の神様」として病気平癒や厄除けの信仰を集めてきた。登録対象となった建築群は昭和初期に造営されたもので、神社建築の伝統を継承しつつ近代建築技術を取り入れた復古様式の社殿として評価された。
Ishikiri-tsurugiya Shrine, popularly known as “Ishikirisan,” has been worshipped as the “god of boils” to cure illnesses and ward off bad luck. The buildings registered for registration were constructed in the early Showa period (early 20th century), and were highly evaluated for their restored style of shrine buildings that incorporate modern architectural techniques while inheriting the traditions of shrine architecture.
今回の登録により、神社の御社殿は地域の信仰の対象であると同時に、文化財としての価値も国によって認められたことになる。神社では、昭和7年の御遷座から100年を迎える2032年に向け、社殿の大規模修復計画を進めている。
With this registration, the national government has recognized the value of the shrine’s pavilions as cultural assets as well as objects of local faith. The shrine is currently planning a large-scale restoration of the shrine pavilions in preparation for 2032, the 100th anniversary of the shrine’s relocation in 1932.
また、登録を記念し、御神宝「太刀 石切丸」などを収蔵する宝物館の特別公開も予定されており、春から初夏にかけて複数日程で開館する。
To commemorate the registration, a special opening of the Treasure House, which houses the sacred sword Ishikirimaru, is also planned, and will be open on several dates from spring to early summer.
