Night Nodate “Nodate Stage of Light – Myojin Cherry Blossom Tea Ceremony” will be held at Kanda Myojin in Kanda Myojin, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
東京都千代田区の神田明神で、桜のライトアップと茶道を融合させたイベント「神田明神桜夜野点『光の野点舞台～明神桜茶会～』」が4月2日から6日まで開催される。主催は一般社団法人千代田中央文化交流推進機構。参拝者が境内で春の夜を五感で楽しむ体験型企画として実施される。
The event “Kanda Myojin Cherry Blossom Night Nodate ‘Nodate Stage of Light – Myojin Cherry Blossom Tea Ceremony’”, which combines cherry blossom lighting and tea ceremony, will be held from April 2 to 6. The event is sponsored by the Chiyoda Chuo Cultural Exchange Promotion Organization. The event will be held as a hands-on experience for visitors to enjoy a spring evening in the precincts of the temple with all five senses.
本イベントでは、境内に設置された「光の舞台」で、表千家流茶道の水上麻由子教授が日替わりでお点前を披露。来場者には抹茶が無料で振る舞われる。開催時間は各日とも17時から19時。雨天時は文化交流館「EDOCCO」内で実施される。
In this event, Professor Mayuko Mizukami of the Omotesenke School of Tea Ceremony will perform a daily tea ceremony on the “light stage” set up in the precincts of the shrine. Matcha (powdered green tea) will be served free of charge to visitors. Hours are from 17:00 to 19:00 on each day. In case of rain, the event will be held in the Cultural Exchange Center “EDOCCO.
茶道は、四季の移ろいとともに自然や人との調和を感じる文化とされる。桜の開花時期に合わせた夜間開催により、ライトアップされた境内で茶の湯の精神を体験できる場が提供される。入場・参加ともに無料。
The tea ceremony is considered to be a culture of harmony with nature and people as the four seasons change. The event will be held at night to coincide with the blooming of the cherry blossoms, providing an opportunity to experience the spirit of the tea ceremony in the illuminated precincts of the temple. Admission and participation are both free.
