■Kouzaki-ji Temple and Sharewing Launch Tourism Experience Combining Fermentation and Buddhism Adopted by Japan Tourism Agency
千葉県神崎町にある神崎寺が、観光庁の令和6年度「地域観光新発見事業」に採択され、株式会社シェアウィングと共同で地域資源を活用した観光プログラムを開発する。プログラムは2025年3月1日より提供を開始し、発酵文化と仏教の精神性を融合した内容が特徴となる。
Kouzaki-ji Temple in Kanzaki-cho, Chiba Prefecture, has developed a tourism program utilizing local resources in collaboration with Sharewing, Inc. after being selected for the Japan Tourism Agency’s 2024 “Regional Tourism New Discovery Project”. The program will be available from March 1, 2025, and features a fusion of fermented culture and Buddhist spirituality.
神崎寺は、真言宗醍醐派に属し、関東八十八ヶ所霊場の第44番札所。400年以上の歴史を持ち、地域の信仰を集めてきた。神崎町は利根川流域に位置し、自然と発酵食文化が息づく地域でもある。
Kouzaki-ji Temple belongs to the Daigo school of the Shingon sect of Buddhism and is the 44th temple of the 88 sacred places in the Kanto region, with a history of more than 400 years, and has been a place of worship in the region. Located in the Tone River basin, Kanzaki-cho is a region of nature and fermented food culture.
観光プログラムは2種類を用意。ひとつは、神崎寺での瞑想体験の後、町内の醤油蔵や酒蔵を訪れる「発酵文化体験ツアー」。もう一つは、写経や精進料理、マインドフルネス瞑想、護摩修行を含む「仏教マインドフルネス体験ツアー」で、いずれも地域の文化資源を活かした内容となっている。
Two types of sightseeing programs are available. One is a “Fermentation Culture Experience Tour” that includes a meditation experience at Kouzaki-ji Temple, followed by a visit to a soy sauce brewery and a sake brewery in the town. The other is a “Buddhist Mindfulness Experience Tour” that includes sutra chanting, vegetarian cooking, mindfulness meditation, and goma practice, both of which utilize local cultural resources.
同寺とシェアウィングは、今後も地元住民との交流や新たな体験型観光商品の開発を通じ、地域経済への波及と文化の継承を図るとしている。
The temple and ShareWing intend to continue to interact with local residents and develop new hands-on tourism products in order to spread to the local economy and pass on culture.
