Red Seal Stamp Rally to Tour Five Shrines in Meiwa Town Starts Rediscovering Local Beliefs and Historical Culture
三重県明和町で、町内の5つの神社を巡る御朱印スタンプラリーが4月5日から始まる。主催するのは一般社団法人明和観光商社。地域に根づく信仰や歴史文化を次世代に伝えることを目的に、地元神社と連携して初めて実施する。
A red seal stamp rally to tour five shrines in Meiwa Town, Mie Prefecture, will begin on April 5. The rally is sponsored by the Meiwa Tourism and Trading Company, a general incorporated association. This is the first rally to be held in cooperation with local shrines, with the aim of passing on to the next generation the beliefs, history, and culture that have taken root in the region.
対象となるのは、宇爾櫻神社、竹神社、麻續神社、畠田神社、竹大與杼神社の5社。参加者はスマートフォンアプリ「SpotTour」を使って各神社を巡り、スタンプを集める。達成者には、竹神社の社務所で各神社の書き置き御朱印を受け取ることができる。初穂料は各500円。御朱印の頒布は竹神社の社務所開所時（土日10時〜15時、満月の日は19時まで）に限られる。
The five target shrines are Uni Sakura Shrine, Take Shrine, Oomi Shrine, Hatakeda Shrine, and Take Ooyodo Shrine. Participants will use the “SpotTour” smartphone application to visit each shrine and collect stamps. Upon completion of the tour, participants will receive a red seal left by each shrine at the shrine office of each Take shrine. The first earning fee is 500 yen each. Distribution of red seals is limited to when the shrine office of Take Shrine is open (Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 to 15:00, and until 19:00 on full moon days).
この取り組みは、神社の担い手不足や情報発信の困難さといった地域神社が抱える共通課題に対応するもので、明和観光商社が広報を担い、御朱印は竹神社で一括して対応する仕組みとした。参拝の動線を町内に生み出すことで、地域に残る神話や祭祀、斎宮ゆかりの文化資源への理解を深めてもらう狙いがある。
This initiative is a response to common problems faced by local shrines, such as a lack of shrine personnel and difficulties in disseminating information. By creating a route of worship within the town, the project aims to deepen visitors’ understanding of local myths, rituals, and cultural resources related to Saiku.
各神社はいずれも由緒を持つ古社で、宇爾櫻神社は延喜式にも記載がある。麻續神社は斎王の禊に関係する祓川に近接し、畠田神社は神嘗祭発祥地との伝承がある。竹大與杼神社は倭姫命の神話に基づく創建とされ、竹神社は斎宮にあった25社を合祀して明治期に成立した。
Each shrine is an old shrine with a long history, and Unisakura Shrine is mentioned in the Engishiki. The Oomi Shrine is located near the Aurigawa River, which is related to the purification of the Saioh, and the Hatakeda Shrine is said to be the birthplace of the Shinto Tasting Ceremony. TakeOoyodo Shrine is said to have been founded based on the myth of Princess Yamahime no Mikoto, and Take Shrine was established in the Meiji period (1868-1912) by enshrining 25 shrines in the Saiku Shrine together.
スタンプラリーは5月から第2期として明星神社の追加も予定されており、地域を周遊しながら神社の魅力に触れる機会として、継続的な展開が見込まれている。
The second phase of the stamp rally is scheduled to begin in May with the addition of Meisei Shrine, and is expected to continue as an opportunity for visitors to experience the charms of the shrine while touring the area.
