■Exclusive Opening of Korin-in, Kodai-ji’s Oldest Sub-Temple, Offers Sutra Copying and Temple Cuisine
京都市東山区にある高台寺の最古の塔頭・岡林院が、通常非公開の境内を期間限定で特別公開する。体験予約サイト「ベルトラ」限定のツアー企画で、2025年5月から6月の指定日に実施される。
Korin-in, the oldest sub-temple of Kodai-ji in Kyoto’s Higashiyama district, will be specially opened to the public for a limited period as part of an exclusive tour organized by Veltra.
高台寺は豊臣秀吉の正室・北政所（ねね）が建立したことで知られる臨済宗建仁寺派の寺院。岡林院はその塔頭の一つで、長らく一般非公開となっていた。
Kodai-ji, affiliated with the Rinzai sect of Zen Buddhism, was founded by Kita-no-Mandokoro (Nene), the wife of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Korin-in has remained closed to the general public for years.
今回のツアーでは、岡林院の苔庭を眺めながら住職による法話を拝聴し、朱墨を用いた写経体験や、茶室での抹茶、伝統料理「うずみ豆腐粥」の提供などが予定されている。
The tour includes access to the temple’s moss garden, a Dharma talk by the resident priest, sutra copying using vermilion ink, matcha served in a tea room, and a traditional tofu porridge meal.
